Morrison, Ross, and Kemp suggest creating a list of the following characteristics of the learner:

  • Age
  • Maturity level
  • Motivation
  • Attitude toward the subject
  • Expectations and vocational aspirations
  • Previous or current work experience
  • Talents
  • Mechanical dexterity
  • Ability to work under various environmental conditions or conditions in which work will occur
  • Cultural diversity or disability needs
